Fresh International Film Festival, in collaboration with RTÉ and Screen Ireland, proudly presents Ireland’s Young Filmmaker of the Year Awards (IYFTYs), celebrating the brightest young cinematic talent. Now in its 28th year, the festival received a record number of submissions from across the globe, showcasing the immense creativity and diversity of the next generation of filmmakers. The prestigious awards are broadcast live from Troy Studios in Limerick on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player. The awards continue to serve as a launching pad for future stars in the film industry, with notable past participants including Oscar-nominated director Vincent Lambe and IFTA-nominated filmmaker Conor McMahon. Supported by the Arts Council, the festival continues to nurture aspiring filmmakers, offering them a platform to explore sustainable careers in film and television while building Ireland’s growing reputation as a global hub for creative industries.
